Public Records Information

The Twenty-Fourth Judicial District Court processes public records requests during regular business hours.

Requests for records in the custody of the Court must be made in writing to the following:

Requests for records in the custody of the Clerk of Court for Jefferson Parish must be sent to the following:

Court staff must search, retrieve and review the specified records. The requestor will be informed of the status of the request within three days of receipt.

Fees

If an estimate of costs is requested, the requestor must specify that and copies will not be made until after the requestor provides written confirmation of the order. (See fee schedule below.) Upon receipt of applicable fees, public records will be copied and made available to the requestor. If a written confirmation or payment is not received within 10 business days after notification of the estimated fees, the requestor may be required to initiate a new request.

If the public record request specifies to only view the records public, no fee will be required if during normal business hours.  An appointment will be scheduled with the requestor at a convenient date and time for the Court and the requestor. Records in the custody of the Court will be made available for viewing at:
